Chapter 01
When sand and gravel need to go
A gravel drive that has worn thin and pushed into ruts, a low spot where washouts have dumped sand across a yard, a pile of leftover pad stone left behind after a job wrapped: sooner or later, sand and gravel sitting on a property need to come off it rather than get worked around indefinitely.
As a general practice, clearing old material out before grading or landscaping starts is easier and more reliable than trying to work new material in on top of it, especially once the old load has settled hard, washed into a low spot, or mixed in with the dirt underneath it.
It shows up in different ways: a driveway that used to be gravel and is now mostly ruts and bare dirt, a yard where a delivery truck tipped stone in the wrong spot, or a lot where an old load was never cleared out after a previous project finished. None of it clears itself, and leaving it in place usually just means working around it for longer.

Hauling and disposal

Chapter 03
Cleanup and handing the ground over for grading
Once the sand or gravel is hauled off, the ground gets cleaned up so it is actually ready for whatever comes next, rather than left rough with loose material scattered around the edges of where the pile or the drive used to be.
Bosco also grades and does excavation work, so clearing out old material and prepping the ground for the next step, new gravel, a graded pad, or landscaping, can be handled by the same crew instead of juggling two different companies on one property.
That handoff matters more than it looks like it should. Ground that has old material only partly cleared tends to cause the same problems again once new gravel or new grading goes down on top of it, so getting it properly cleaned up first is worth the extra pass. It is a small piece of work compared to a full dig or a demolition, but it is the same crew and the same trucks, so there is no reason to let a gravel drive or a washed-in low spot sit unaddressed.
